A sad day, the end of my excellent vacation. Before the show I meet up with my half brother who I haven't seen for quite some time. I left his house straight to the place that would end my mission. The Masquerade is a cool place, soon as you walk in you can go right to Hell, left to Purgatory or upstairs to Heaven where the show was being held. SPE displayed a great beginning to the end. Atlanta crowd was a real good size, but these 5 guys thought that they were He-men but couldn't find a pimple on their ass, I showed them the moves and lines to help them learn.
Ironman Jim played his fucking heart out, with the war face on at all times. Sims banged bass lines like second nature. Duane tore shit up with his light green 70's guitar. Yow had a professional performance. Enjoying the southern crowd I was able to connect with David a couple times during the show. After the last song Glamorous of the second encore David dedicated the set to Jay Crosby and left the stage. A perfect way to end my 9th consecutive show with them. I tell you the Lizard had something different each time I saw them. There was not one bad show. Each time the Four took the stage they had a different charisma between them to give a different mood of the night. This is one of the reasons I appreciate these great musicians. Afterward I said my thanks and goodbyes to JL & SPE for the fantastic week that I will never forget, except maybe the 14 hour drive home.
